According to The Herpetoculture of Leopard Geckos by tremper and de Vosjoli
males live longer then females
there have been two recorded cases of 2 males that one was 28 and the other was 29 and they were obtained as adults
female usualy have a gradual decline after exhausting there ova which accours by the age of 10
the record for a female is 21 years and 10 months
i would say the true average goes down because of improper care from an owner dew to stress sickness and other factors. Because im sure alot of geckos die in the first year from owner misinformation, carelessness, trama (being droped) but if taken care of properly they can live a long life relativelt speaking for a small reptile. so best of luck with yours
