True sandfire dragons are a trademark color phase that was selectivly breed at Sandfire dragon ranch. They are selectivly breed red golds that have turned out to have a full body color. But they raise their dragons outside in the sun. And have stated in books and on their site that if you buy one and raise it indoors it probbaly wont show its full potential of colors. There are a lot of people out there that say they have sanfire dragons , but infact they are just dragons with a little color. So if you get one be careful when selecting a breeder. Tigers have very nice sidebars. And this trait can be found on many color phases. Im not exatly sure who started this phase. Hope this helps, and if anyone else has anything to add please do so.

peace,
nathan

ok well no i bought mine as normals from a privit breeder in my local paper
i bought them as slight niped tails and on most you cant tell exept ont he one i got for free witch has a stump his name is stumpy

when my dragons fire up all but two have imence orange in them i dont know how but they do....
their parents werent very color full infact they looked almost all white and i dont think where in shed..i saw two fire up and the male had some orange dots but barly and the female witch was the mother of 3 of them had greenish sidbars and purple side bars and was yellow similar to a citrus looking dragon but i havent seen one as an adult to know....i saw flam dragons if im correct their characteristic it like orange line or pattern down their back oposit of what would bbe a tiger....i think i have one of those and possablbe 2 more that are light fires but one of my dragons on a normal day under the lamp turns black to absorb the heat and has 2 like neon orange dimond stripes
example===

its really cool but nothing compared to the high end stuff i have seen on this site bbut ill work my way up i just want to get my beardies threw thier first year without any more problems so fare they has been an attack on my best colored dragon by the 2nd largest dragon in that cage witch was moved out yewsterday along with the largest andim treating the near amputated toes with neo sporen and quarentine and i have another dragon the one with the stump i mentioned will not stop pooping in the water dish so every day i have to check the dish and see if he ate yet and i know he is eating well because of the poop in the water but i wish he would find a more comvinient spot to poop . im trying somthing new im using the cap of a gatorade bottle as messurment and i put 3 water per 1 gatorade because they werent drinking and i tohught they were dehidrated so i use gatoraid because i know i have heard of it being used along with pedialight but i dont have that around and sure enough they are drinking agian so why change it it provides good nutients for them and they stay hydrated by them selves so i only spray the cage periodicly
