Tubs for Ball Pythons?

skyfire_1 Dec 08, 2005 11:16 AM

I really got spoiled on the rack system that I use for my smaller Corn and Rat snakes. It makes it a heck of a lot easier to clean than my wood cages, or larger cages. Here's the question. Do they have a some type of a sweater box, or tub rack system that can handle adult Balls? Or the second question would be if anyone knows of, or has an easy cleaning set up for their Ball Pythons? I guess one or two aren't bad to clean up after, but as your collection grows you can put quite a bit of time into the cleaning part of herping. Thanks...

for animals less than 2000 gms I keep them in the 32 qt sterelite. for animals larger than this I use the 41qt sterelite. They both have enough floor space to provide adequate movement and a nice heat gradiant. There are other manufacturers that make large tubs but the sterelite are cheaper and available at most Target stores. If you happen to have one of the truly giant ball pythons out there (over 5.5 ft) you may have to use a neodesha or boaphile cage or build your own. But even a true giant could still be housed in one of the larger tubs out there.

I use the long, low sweater boxes for under bed storage. They are about 4-5 feet long, but only 10" high, more than enough height for a ball and lots of floor space. Line 'em with newspaper and you are good to go!
