Recently I have had some unfortunate experiences with reptiles. Namely, two baby leopard geckos (purchased at Petco) died on me, despite the pains I took to get the environment right, vet trips, and hand-feeding with a liquid diet. I don't really know what was wrong with them, but the most likely explainations are parasites or juvenile anorexia.
So... before I try anything else, I'd like to ask a few questions. Are there any other easy-care lizards that can be kept in a setup similar to what a leopard gecko needs? Nothing big, I only have room for a ten-gallon.
Or, if I'm going to look for another leo I want something older. Is there a reccomended age for beginners to get? I want to get something beyond the stage where they're prone to anorexia. Also, if anyone can reccomend a good breeder around NH, it'd be very much appreciated!
Thanks!
