When will prices go down on these pythons?

Uberkid Dec 08, 2005 05:00 PM

Why are balls so pricey? I saw a saw scaled viper for 75 bucks that im thinking of getting because its so cheap. Then i see balls with color morphs that are worth more than my teachers car. Will the prices ever go down? I really like spiders. Corn snake morhphs look nice but dont cost nearly as much as balls.

They generally go down a little each year. Spiders where a lot more a few years back. It's a lot of work to produce enough ball python morphs to go around at even a slightly lower price. Today's high prices insure that all that work gets done as quickly as possible.

If the saw scale pops you...you won't have to worry about ball prices going up or down

There was a great quote that I read once on the forums. (I've forgotten the source, so I'll have to paraphrase from memory.)

"There are only two kinds of people who keep venomous snakes -- those involved with scientific research and complete idiots."

How about..."no one is completely worthless...they can always serve as a bad example"?
