I am so jealous!!!!!!!!! I have a beautiful Amel. and I am getting a Lavender from Don soon(CAN'T WAIT).I have gotton quite a bit lately so I think my husband won't let me have another one till next breeding season . The reason I can get a Lavender is because I am using it as an Anniversary gift LOL!!

That thread should have had a smiley face in it, I guess they took it out. Thanks for the compliments!

Is this the sibling amel to the snakes you have marked for me?

she is thier full sister, she is definatly motley, clear belly all the way. I hope she keeps her light background. Mom has spectacular ground color, dad is not as clean but his blotch color is deeper. I though this was the only one I was keeping back, but one of the males is growing on me too. OH NO!

I see amel and I see the motley but I thought milksnake phase was blotches wrapped down the side so there are bands just like a milksnake? I don't see any blotches that go down the side that touch or almost touch the belly scales.
Please explain to me.
Very pretty snake regardless and that first elongated blotch looks awesome.

Good point...
I guess since her Mom was a Milksnake Phase Motley and Dad was a Milksnake Phase (het motley), I just automatically called her one too! Most of her brothers and sisters had wrap around banding, but she seems to be lacking. Thats Ok, she has a home here anyway.
Here is mom.

Thanks for explaining. Just making sure that I understand.
It is interesting that mom and dad both have the pattern and she does not. You would certainly expect her to have the pattern.
