Well Spaz our baby rhino has been with us a week now and I think I am making some progress already. He no longer freaks out when I walk up to his enclosure and if I sit and talk to him for about 3-5 minutes before reaching in he will let me rub his sides and his throat for about 5-10 minutes flipping out. He will eat sweet potatoes from my fingers and he has even walked up into my hands a few times. Having said all that if he sees my wife or kids (they could be 5 feet from his enclosure with his door closed) he flips out and starts running and trying to climb the walls. Keep telling them they need to interact with him more so he gets use to them. Other than that he is doing great, he eats everything you put before him but I think he is a sweet potatoe addict. Like I said he takes it from my hands and when I make his salads (collard & mustard greens, beans, snow peas, squash, sweet taters..this weeks menue) he literally digs out the whole salad and eats the sweet taters first then eats the rest...little junky
