hi ok so i got my first bp last spring and instantly fell in love with the species. i now have 6 in my collection.
2 of my snakes were adopted together.
a 3.5 ft male and a 4.5ft female.
they have been copulating like mad since before i got them,(i've had them over 4 months.)
they are still doing it constantly( more so in the last month and a half), should i be expecting eggs soon? or should i change their living conditions to encourage a sucessful breeding
what are the exact conditions that will trigger them to sucessfully breed?
their cage is a 77 gal aquarium, warm end is heated by an exoterra heat mat, the warm hide is about 90-95 degrees. the cold end is about 80-85. they are on a carpet base, and get misted daily.
any recomended changes?
i also recently rescued a 3.5 ft female from an owner like uberkid (see post below)( was afraid of feeding the snake) she is in good condition, but i want to know if there is anything i should do to prepair her to breed this season. she is in with my original male bp. i havent noticed any sure signs of copulating, but i would like to make sure they do. any suggestions?
i am starting a breeding colony of bps, and i have been promoting the species in my area. i hope to be able to produce some nice morphs eventually, but i probably wont be able to for a few years, although my 2 yearling females have very bright colors i would like to bring out in the next generation.
any suggestions will be apreciated
