Anyone know conclusively one way or the other if a person has ever been killed by a boa constrictor in the US? If so, where can I find documentation for / against?

Also...# of deaths from burms/retics/rock/anacondas in the US?

I'm working on stats to have in my arsenal if needed.
We are currently up against a ban on constrictors that reach over 8'

This site sort os swings both ways and there are a lot of python references..... I am guessing your on the No-Ban side so this might not be what you are looking for, But this maybe ammo for the City so read up..

I've been in this a long time, and since the early 70's, I can't think of anyone killed by a boa. They very seldom get over 8', anyway. As to pythons, the rule is usually over 12-13' shouldn't be handled by a single person, especially wild caught, or if you don't know the animal. Why was the 8' length picked?
