ok maybe 2 days ago i noticed a considerable amount of a gooey sticky liquid in my female brooksi's cage and then some that was dripping from her head, i couldnt tell if it was from her eyes, nostrils, or mouth. and today i fed her and she seemed disoriented, not as agile and accurate, she even bit her tail lightly. im very worried bc of all this and i could use some feedback asap thanks you guys

Gooey, sticky?

If it is coming out of your snake anywhere that sounds very serious!

I'm no expert, but if it were my snake it would be at the vet ASAP.

Good luck, I hope everything turns out O.K.

also, i didnt mention that she is seeming to be absolutly FINE, not sluggish, not losing weight, not aggresive as she never has been. she shed o maybe 2 weeks ago? everything seems to be going well. and this is not normal, its only happened once, which is why im so perplexed

Sounds like your snake has a respiratory infection... try trying up the heat, her immune system may be able to fight it... it that does not work then you gotta take your snake to the vet get some antibiotics....

good luck!

I'm not 100% about this but when my snake had a respiratory infection he'd keep spilling the water (wet pine) and he seemed to get better no mucus all over the place when i change the substrate (newspaper), he "sneezed" alot!

so i think some moisture is good... i look at a respiratory infection in a snake like a common cold in us, he are much worst and cough much more in cold dry air do warm moist air should be better for the snake.
