I have been having fun with the camera again trying to get some decent photos of my 05' female anery 66% het snow and my 05' female albino. Does anyone know what infuences would give the anery the "blocky" saddles?

Is that just black velvet, or did you edit them because I really like that pure black background.

I shot them on black velvet with off camera flash. I did black out a few bright spots on one of the anery images but the rest are completely unedited. Oh, i cropped them too. I really like how they came out. Now I want to take photos of all 12 of my boas. Sorry guys, you are going to get so sick of seeing my snakes

What kind of camera? Also what kind of lighting do you use? Thanks and great pics! Andy

The camera is a cannon 20d with the 420EX flash. These pictures were taken with the standard 18-55mm lens that came with the camera. I take alot of nature shots but not too much portait studio stuff. I'll keep practising and hopefully get some really cool boa photos. Thanks for viewing.
