Hmm. What is that I see? Might that be...a waxworm?!?!?!

This one speaks for itself.

Mmmmmmmm. Yummy.

looks like the squigster has invited that waxworm to be refered to in the "past tense"
My miaka is a bit spoiled, she only likes the really big waxworms, and she will only eat them from tweezers or from the dusting bowl (just a bowl of herp-cal and herp-vit that i usually dunk whatever im feedign on tongs to her in)
i really want to try trevo (butter) worms or silk worms, but they are never availible around here, and i dont think that ordering any quanity of them only to find out they are not eaten is any good either :
so for now, waxworm treats it is, i might try a very small pinkie, but im gonna regret the terrible mess she will make if she eats it (last time was horrible.. worse then when i fed her anoles, which was really bad )
anyway, Nice pics, lol

Lately, he hasn't been crazy about crickets but he's been gobbling up waxworms like they're candy. I don't want to overdue it so if you could maybe give me alimit, it would be nice. Thanks, Kristin
normally she will eat anywhere from 10 - 20 waxworms when i give them to her, it seems like alot, but normally they are fairly small, lately ive been getting larger ones (some of them nearls an inch long and quite plump) so she only gets about 7 of those.
i dont know how many times a day you feed squig, by miaka eats twice a day, once in the morning (about 7am, light having ben on for 2 hours) and once in the afternoon (4-5, depending when i get home from work) so in theory, she could eat as many as 40 waxworns in 1 day (though not very likely, and the waxies would have to be about this big --- or smaller)
i normally give her them once a week or once every other week, depending on how many i have,
feed them too often and they stop eating crix, and then youve got to stop feeding them all together until they accept crikets again (usually takes about a week and a half, give plenty of water)
I love waxies because they seem to hold almsot indefinatly when kept in the butter part of my refridgerator, so i can buy 80 of them (about $5) and have enough for more then a month

lol, unfortunaly that was my male, he wsa lost recently to a cat and a bad lid lock, he had quite the personality, and was quite pretty, his top half was a yellowy brown with jsut a bit of orange and green, his rear was an aqua green color with brown.
Ive been looking for a replacement for him for quite some time, but i havent found anything
the nearest thing ive seen is

the lizard in the foregroundbut gawl was much yellower, and his green much deeper (if that makes sense, dont know how else to descride it)
hes one of the few pic i have of him, its my favorite (ive got a large landscape printout of it on glossy paper)
always reminds me of the movie dragonheart, dunno why,.. i, think maybe its the tail
note: every pic i have the colors look nothing like they did in real life, though some of them are pretty good detail
male that you will like as much. He did look really neat. I like the pic too, he looks more like a little doggie there all curled up and snugly ! ZThe tail looks pretty awesome . Again sorry that happened ! :0) You will find a real Jim Dandy for sure !

Congratulations !!!! WONDERFUL !!! Eve
The mess was in the den (aka the snakeroom, since we used to keep more snakes than lizards) & sorta. I hope you're right about the job. I really need the money. I've got 3 mateless critters. = (
Let me see Squig, the day gecko and the leaftail are mateless, or am I wrong?
