I love the pics of your collection.

Here's my cute little "Shawnee king" I collected from Southern Illinois this fall, probably will turn out looking more speckled. Kinda drab now, but will be a looker in a year or two. To me, this is my favorite snake in my (small) collection. She is still tiny, but has an attitude like I've never seen! I can't do anything w/o getting bit, although she stopped musking and pooping on me!

For what its worth I have noticed there is a high tendency for the more heavily patterned nigra to be much more defensive on average than those populations that have little or no pattern. It could be coincidence, but I have seen these traits in many boldly patterned black kings but only rarely in the others.
