Cute little bugger. Looks like my Jalisco, only mine has rings, not saddles.

Amazing how much your Jalisco looks like a Mexican Milk. I was thinking yours was an annulata until that first time you posted pics of the ventral area of your snake. Beautiful little Jalisco you have.

Yeah. The rings run the length of the snake. I guess 'cause they're both from nearby regions of Mexico...

Very nice Steve.

Wow thats a pretty snake. Over the summer I had a list of snakes I was looking into and it came down to New Mex milk -Mex milk or Arizona mt king.
I opted for the Arizona and glad I did but next summer going to add the New Mex milk or the Mex milk to my collection (It will be a 2 snake collection lol).
I read the Mex milks could be very hard to feed . You have any problems with yours ?
I like the fact that the males wont outgrow a 20 gallon long and colorful.

I hand feed my Jalisco using a hemostatic forceps (think scissors handle and needlenose pliers tip). This works great. He ate two small pinks just a few minutes ago. Sometimes I put him in the deli cup with the prey, but he seems to need some encouragement. Because sometimes in the deli cup in the dark, they get eaten, and sometimes he cringes away from them, like he's scared of the f/t pinkie!
I guess each one is different, but this guy is definitely a little skittish, which is why I named him "Tweek" after the coffee-riddled South Park character.
By the way, he shed two days ago, and his colors after a shed are just so bold and rich... he's gonna be a beautiful adult!

okay thanks. He is great looking. I am lucky as my Arizona Mt king is a good steady eater. He isnt like Eric Cartman lol but he eats steady though small meals.
Not true at all. Mexican Milks are one of the more aggressive feeders. Mine has fed on rodents from day one. He never misses a meal, LOL. Now it may be that New Mexican Milks may be more touchy when it comes to feeding, but most Mexican Milks have no problem when it comes to feeding time.
