This is a tourist area with a paved road used for hiking , tour shuttles and bikes. I'm sure the road would be outstanding to cruise at night but you would have to be connected to get access to the area at night.

I still go back when the opportunity arises though. Access is limited but the entire area is alive with wildlife. EDB's, Indigos, Corales, all this and more. Watch out for gators.

cheers

Actually, I am at the other end of Everglades National park. I'm staying at Hometead FL (sudden and unexpected business trip). I've been working 12 hour days but got some cruising time last night. In 1.5 hours i saw an 8-10' Burmese, 3 Cottonmouth, a Scarlet Snake, about 89999 Garters (mostly DOR) and 2 not yet ID'd Water Snakes. It's supposed to rain this afternoon so I intend to try to get back out if I'm not too wiped. Pics to follow when I get back home. I'm on someone's work computer this afternoon.
