Picked these up in Manassas, VA today.

Beautiful Black Rats you purchased today. I usually go to the Manassas show, but was not able to make it today. What all did they have at the show, as far as Ratsnakes, Kingsnakes, and other colubrids?

Not much really. There were a lot of empty tables today. I went mainly to get aspen bedding but ran across these guys and was offered a deal I couldnt refuse and since I have been looking for this exact same pairing, I had to do it. THere were a lot more lizard breeders today than usual, but like I said there were also a lot of empty tables I am sure due to the weather. WHere are you located? I am in Springfield.

Thanks for the information on the Manassas show. Since you said there were many empty tables, maybe it's not so bad I missed out this time. I'm located in between Richmond & Williamsburg, down in the South Eastern part of the state. So as you can see, that's a good two hour drive to Manassas for me. What all do you have in your collection?

I have 5.6 various color morph corns, 3.3 various morphs of black rats, and 1.1 cave dwelling rats (ridleyi). I need to trim down some though as I will be getting out of the army in the spring and moving to Illinois with my fiance. She's not too keen on the whole snake thing yet so.....

Nice collection. Right now as far as ratsnakes, I only have 1.0 bairdi & 0.1 Mexican night snake (elaphe flavirufa) and 1.0 okeetee cornsnake. I do have a Kisatchie Cornsnake & Emoryi Ratsnake on order. The rest of my collection is mainly Kingsnakes. You can also throw in one female hognose, and a garter.
Good to see a fellow service member enjoying this hobby.
There's a couple of posters on the forums that just retired from the Army. Hotshot & Blueking are both Army Vets, and I'm a Navy Vet, finishing up my time in the Air Guard.

I know Blueking (Zee) through a mutual friend of ours, Peter Jolles. I am actually calling it quits after 12 years, 4 deployments, and 3 marriages. I've had enough. The last trip to Afghanistan was the last straw. I am ready to be a civilian. Anyway, drop me a line as I might have a few things you might be interested in.

Keep that plan in effect! I will win her over soon. Those are actually a sexual pair; male albino, female white side. But like I told Dre a few posts up, I am still lookig forward to getting some of yours. Good luck with the wrestling this year. Drop me a line when you get a chance.

very nice! I picked up a 2.6 black rats this year. 1.2 3 yr old normals, and 1.2 various hatchling morphs, 1.0 albino white-sided, 0.1 white sided-poss het albino, and 0.1 albino het white-sided. Got them all from lost world reptiles. Great animals, can't wait till they grow. He has an AWESOME female he'll be breeding next year...really black on top, with almost no speckling on the sides...just incredible contrast, and I can't wait to pick up some of her offspring.
