Breeding WC with CB king

cammyleon Dec 10, 2005 06:59 PM

How should I go about breeding a WC Cali king snake to my CB Cali? I'm pretty sure the wild caught king has not been treated for mites.

Get yourself a basic guide to kingsnakes, such as Perlowins' Common Kingsnakes AVS guide and/or reliable 'net sources, give us specifics and we can help you more. You should probably cool/brumate your animals now. Introduce them cautiously in the Spring, you want a breeding-not feeding-response. You should of course quarantined the wild caught, and if needed treat for mites. Be sure your animals are mite free and healthy before breeding. What will you do with the hatchlings? Start looking for homes now. Have fun and good luck,Vic
