For me there is nothing like a healthy, vibrant "normal" Ball Python.
This is a almost 5 year old female I've had since she was a hatchling. She has a wonderful appetite, has never been shy or "boring". Always has to investigate and nothing much fazes her. I take her to schools to educate pupils about reptiles, and she will eat later the same day, no problem.
She resides in a 4 foot Neodesha, with cocoanut bark, 2 nice hidespots and a big waterdish.
To this day she enjoys climbing on the large, sturdy branch in her cage.
She rarely ever hides, and if I do any maintenance in the cage she usually slithers over to check it out, and then proceeds to slither onto my arm and up on my shoulder.
She is a big girl, and never misses a meal
To many reptile keepers Ball Pythons are "boring" esp. if they aren't some morph, born funky or worth a lot of money.
I cannot tell you how much fun this simple, normal and to me GORGEOUS girl is.
