spearmint123 Dec 10, 2005 08:42 PM

can anyone tell me a good calcium powder right for my little leo. I ask the people at petco and they sold me leopard gecko dust by t-rex, I brought it home and read the back and theres not much calcium in it at all. I'm so glad these people at petco know what there doing.

Thanks

I use Herptevite calcium in both the with D3 and no D3. I also use the Herptevite vitamin supplement. My girl has grown from a baby to almost 8 inches long with no problems.

The Leopard Gecko Dust by T-Rex is fine to use as the vitamin supplement and it has D3 in it so you really don't need 2 kinds of calcium, just the plain calcium. I use Bone Aid which is also by T-Rex, it is ground extra fine so that it sticks to your feeder insects better. I would think your Petco would carry this also, I believe that's where I bought mine. Depending on the age of your Leo, dust your feeders with the vitamin supplement once a week (for adults) or twice a week (for hatchlings/juvies) and dust with the plain calcium the rest of the week.
