I have just bought a male neonate dumeril it is 21 inches long and feeding great, I have it on a 7 day feeding schedule and feed it 2 live fuzzies 30 min apart. My problem is that it hasn't defecated in 20 days and I don't know if that is good or bad because it has like 7 fuzzes in it since the last defecation. I do not have any books on these snakes and am looking for advice on some good ones that will help me out with setting up the ideal habitat and care for my snake, so any recommendations would be helpful.

With so many places to start, I'd suggest going to Jason's site Dumerils.com and read it over. I believe he discusses feeding habits of Dumerils in there. After you read that, if you have any more questions, just let us know. As far as I have ever seen, you will not find a good book dealing with Dumerils. They usually get lumped in with other boas such as "Colombina boas". In a nutshell, slower metabolism, longer duration between meals. Take care
