vitamins in water?

foxfire521 Jul 23, 2003 06:51 PM

I have been adding a small amount of Nekton-Rep to the water that i mist my tree frogs with and to the water that is in their two ponds. i just started to wonder if this might harm them in anyway. i took the recommended dosage off of the packet, but that isn't always as accurate as you think. looking at the side of the package, this vitamin contains vitamin A, D3, E, B1, B2, D-pantothenic acid, niacinamide, B6, folic acid, B12, C, & K3.

my question is, has anyone had an experience of vitamins being harmful to their animal? overdosage?
any insight appreciated.

I can't tell you if what you're doing is too much or anything about that product, but many people have given their animals too much of certain supplements, and the effects can be severe.

If there's a number on the box, I suggest you call it and speak to someone and have them clarify everything. Also, if the animals eat wild bugs, there's no real need to supply them with any vitamins. And maybe it's just best to only give them the supplement in one form and not the other...

Well, I'd stop doing it for now until either someone here can give you a good answer or you talk to the people, preferably both. Good luck
