Finally....starting to calm down.

I finally figured out how to tame my JCP (i think). Once you get him out of the cage (thats the hard part but getting better, no longer strikes), you have to just let him hang out till he's comfortable enough to move around. Then you have to slowly get him used to the moving 5 fingered "branches". Berber (my Jcp) used to strike at every movement, including his own body, but is finally (I hope) starting to calm down. I rescued him from a pet store where he was kept in a 1 foot sqaure enclosure, he/she is just over 4ft long. It also had a slight resp. infection when I got it.

The petshop owner said he was to hostile to sell to the general public, everyone was terrified of him. Now that's funny. I've been bitten by alot bigger, badder things than him......just don't tell my wife. hehehehehehehehe
