Why is it that albino females cost more than males, but pied females are less than males? They are both recessive so I don't get it. The only thing I can think of is people want to use the albinos for double hets, but if that is the case wouldn't the same be true for pieds?

Albinos have been out alot longer than pieds, so, most people who want one already have their albino male (but maybe still could use another albino female or two).
With pieds, evidently, alot of people are still buying their first male - eventually females will cost more with pieds, too.
