male vs female size at 3 yrs.

herper1990 Dec 12, 2005 01:50 PM

What is the typical size for a female yellowhead retic at 3 yrs? Also what is it for a male? I can't decide if I should purchase a male or a female. I want a large immpresive snake but I also don't want to have to struggle with it while I am handling it. I want an active and inquisitive snake, not one that just sits there all the time in the same spot. Thanks for the help.

a male or female could easily attain 10 - 15' at this age depending on what you feed, how much, and how often. great choice for large, impressive, active and inquisitive, but I wouldn't suggest handling one over 10' alone (especially a fiesty one). accidents happen.

Thanks, Which sex has a faster growth rate? What is the girth difference between a male and a female at 3 yrs? Which is more likely to grow large faster?

personally, I haven't seen a huge difference up to that age, but past that, females definitely pack on some weight.
