You have a very Nice Tort. Enjoy and keep him/her safe.

These are my torts. They are my favorite out of all of the reptiles that I have ever owned. I did have 8 eastern box turtles in a large pen in my back yard for a littl eover two years. They were healthy and beautiful but someone jumped my fence and stole them all! So I keep a very close eye on my sulcatas.

You both have nice tortoises.
I can't believe someone stole your box turtles! How horrible, I am so sorry to hear that.
What kind of jerk does that?

I wish I knew Who Stole them. There are lots of kids from neighboring hoods that wonder around here at night, and sneek through people's back yards. I keep a close eye on my Sulcatas when they go outside! I can wait to move out to those 10 acres in the country! I recently got a new male eastern box that looks like a lawn mower got him. A friend picked her out of wal-mart parking lot, saw the injury and gave her to me. She is doing fine now, I hope she makes it through the winter inside! I will put up a pic as soon as she pokes his head out again. I just wanted to chat again and tell everyone to HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I had been feeling lucky about our neighborhood until 2005. It's always been quiet but now lots of people are building new houses which means more kids, more dogs moving in soon. After 12 years of having very few neighbors this influx of people makes me want to move.

Good luck with the lawnmower boxie, I have one who was brought to me at the end of Oct. this year. He was dog chewed, treated for infection, put back together, tube fed & now finally is eating on his own & doing much better. I know he's going to make it through this winter, I hope yours does as well as this one is.
