Home grown grass?

Crizzi27 Dec 12, 2005 03:21 PM

I know it may sound silly to some people, but I believe in trying to duplicate a reptiles natural surroundings to the best I can and I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to use top soil, and grow some grass in the tank. This may sound like a lot of work, having to cut it and so what, but it was an idea I had sitting here thinking about what I am going to do with the tank for my corn snake I plan to get. I just wondered if anyone else had ever tried it.

The main problem that you haven't thought of is snake poop. In the wild, which you are trying to duplicate, the snake simpley move on. But in a viv they can't. Just us aspen for the substrate.
