Do ghost brooks have much variation or do they all look alike for the most part? Do ghosts from New England lines differ from ghosts from Lemke lines?
Thanks,
Dan

right, the original ghost line was with Llemke axanthics and hypos from Doug Beard.
...another way to attack it would be to use a nice red/orange hypo in addition to the New England line axanthic as i believe that the founder hypos were yellow. that would be an interesting project.

I've been thinking about this......wondering really. With the varying degrees of yellow in the Floridana, would a yellower specimen produce a bluer axanthic? And how does the varying degrees of black effect the overall "blue" look on an axanthic line? I do have a New England strain axanthic, but at the moment only have a somewhat pale yellow hypo to go with her. Nice looking fellow, but not as bright yellow as some I've seen here. I guess all I can do is breed, see what comes out, pick a few for my collection, and test them out.
Have you (or anyone) tried breeding varying traits into your axanthic lines to see if it does effect the axanthic trait to any noticable degree?
