I need a little help here, does anyone know about scams from South Africa?
I am talking with this lady obviously from Africa and she wants my snakes. For some reason I dont feel comfortable... something is giving me a bad feeling. I talked to someone in San Diego, Ca and he told me it was a scam and that this is very common from africa, saying they are on a "business trip" Any info wil help, just seeing if anybody else has had experience with something similar. Ive never personally dealt with a scammer but Ive read about them numerous times here and on other sites. If you dont feel comfortable I wouldnt do it. Stories of business trips, or having a shipper here in the states who will make arrangements with you to pick up the animals, or wanting to send you a check for thousands more than the cost of the animal and you send them the difference minus a small "convenience fee" for yourself. Just use comon sense and trust your judgement. Good luck.

I was getting those emails 2 years ago (and still do sometimes)
I acually contacted the FBI about it and they said they've been trying to nail them for years!

I even send them threatening emails telling them I'd reported them to the FBI and it doesn't scare them off.
