Just a question about naming double het morphs

EmberBall Jul 23, 2003 07:27 PM

ok, this may have already been discussed before, and I was not paying attention, but here it goes: Is there a formula for naming double het ball python offspring. Take the albino spider, why wasn't it called the spider albino? My thinking is this, the color morph is the (adjective) describing the pattern morph (the noun). So, a spider ball that is albino should be called the albino spider. Easy enough right? What about a spider mojave, or mojave spider, or pastel mojave or mojave pastel. My question is, is there a formula to naming double hets or co-dom bred with other recessive gene animals?

Maybe it's just up to whoever breeds it first.
