guess where I've been all afternoon!!!!

In the ER getting stitches on my wittle finger!! It hurts!!

I hate crickets and there damn fresh fruits and vegtables!!! I was chopping up some carrots for the Crickets and I hit a hard one, so I pushed the Very Big Knife down a little harder, until it proceeded to cut my pinky! Oooooooweeeee!! I want my mommy. It hurts real bad and they had to gas me up, because I was really freaked out, so then I got mellow and they fixed me,
I have 2 stitches on my pinky and a hard half cast thinggy. And some new pain pills to take if the pain in my pinky gets too bad.
woo is me.....
Well I guess it's been around 3 months since my last ER visit so I was due!! If it wasn't for my bad luck, I would have no luck.

Geesh, weird I just cut mine yesterday doing the same thing, only I rolled up some collard greens and stuff and tried chopping them with a steak knife, and slipped. I just took a chunk out of the side of my index finger, nothing as severe as YOURS !

My goodness long day at the ER I bet, hope you feel better soon kido, those pain killers should help to DULL things down

You take care, and next time use a grater and shred those carrots, ya get more anyway LOL

Feeling much better today! Man, All that blood mad me woozy, and A little bit out of control!! It was bleeding bad!!! AND, I was home alone!! I thought about calling 911, but I hate needles and All I kept thinking was, "I don't need stitches, I don't need stitches!!" Then I took the papertown off and I was like, "Man, I think I need stitches". I was one of those big butcher knifes that looks kinda like an ax. I sometimes think I'm a master chef and use it to chop up the veggies. Well Normally I buy the whole long carrots, but this time they had organic baby carrots, and I was trying to cut one long ways while holding on to it. It's sore today, like I smashed it, but it's a good excuse to work from home!!!

you had quite a time there, girl! As a former bartender (yup, little ol' lele) I have cut a LOT of fruit and veggies in my day learned some good tricks, too (Eve, one of them is NOT to use a steak knife! Yikes, it slips and rips at your skin instead of a nice clean cut - I mean think about what they are made to cut!? Dead animals!)

I had somewhat long fingernails (nothin' fancy) and I do not know how many times I cut the tip of my thumbnail off! Whew, probably saved me from getting stitches! So maybe you could buy those press on fingernails and stick 'em on before you slice! lol!!

LOL, same exact thing happened to me about a year back. I had alot of crickets to feed, and I was rushing. I thought I was good enough to not put the orange down on the table; just hold it in one hand, and use the other hand to cut it with a steak knife.... Well, got through 3 oranges with no probs...4th didn't go as good. I cut deep into my middle finger; LOL, same finger I have broken in 2 spots....

You know the bad part about is I was applying alot of pressure to the knife, so it didn't really "slice" it, it kinda chopped it!! But it hurt like heck!

Stitch is on his own agenda these day!! He mostly free roams, so he spends his day trying to figure out how to get to Rana's cage or basking in his spot. Last night he was eye-balling my Dart frog tank, I think he thought they were some little blue berry treats. He would look at them, then look at me, like.... ummm hello, I see them over there!! He cracks me up, because when the misters go off, he acts like the devil with holy water!! He damn near falls off his branch every time. Then he kinda drinks with one eye on the spout to make sure it doesn't try to "get" him!!
