What is a Royal Corn?

razaiel Dec 13, 2005 05:18 AM

Hi
I have offered to take on an unwanted (complete with untreated abcsess) what I was told by a mutual friend was a Royal (Ball) Python. I have a python so I'm used to them and this one is being kept badly.

I've since been told (by the owner) that it isn't a Ball (Royal here in UK) Python - but a Royal Corn. I've never heard of these and wonder what they are? I'm just curious before I see the creature and wonder if it's something quite rare as a google search has yielded very little info on them.

Any input welcomed

Razaiel

A royal corn is a hybrid.

I can't remember what the exact cross is but it's a king-corn or milk-corn cross or some combination thereof.

Go the hybrid forum and I'm sure you'll find it.

I do not think there is any such thing as a royal corn.

king x corn are called jungle corns.
milk x corn I think are going by the name jurassic corns.

I think you're right, might have gotten it mixed up with imperial corns, or one of the myriad other names out there.
