WPVI-6 (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) 23 July 03 Woman Claims Paramedics Left Her to Save Alligator
Homestead, Florida: A Florida woman is recovering from a bad car crash. But what's worse, she says paramedics abandoned her on the side of the road in order to help an alligator.
Debbie Cleveland slammed into a 9-foot alligator and her mother rushed to the scene.
Paramedics, however say Cleveland refused treatment...but an eyewitness disputes their claim.
Meantime, officials say everything was done properly.
And they say it was in the best interest to remove the alligator that was still alive and to try to save it.
