If that snake is AXANTHIC...Then mine is too!!!!

Nice baby!!!! I woould love to have one of those.
Because that animal is not axanthic. Not even close...

That pics looks to me like a pretty nice Black Back. I've done business with Serpents Den in the past, and they were top notch, so I suspect that pic was put up in error.
Well, what I thought what could be an Axanthis is NOT. I looked at different pictures online and thought it could be. I posted him as unproven and through correspondence with Ralph Davis & Mike Jollif they confimed he is not. He's still a nice Blackback though.....oh well my error.
Thanks for your inputs.

Maybe you should read the ad before posting a thread like this. It says the male is an axanthic and the female is 100% het. The first 2 pictures are an axanthic and the last is a normal(100% het).
sorry posted this in wrong area.
axanthic......no xanthin
melanin still is present
the snake does not have to be straight grey to be axanthic
sorry but if the line is proven i dont care if the snake is hypermelanistic IT WILL STILL MAKE SNOWS!!! heheeh yea for snow
But if it is from some kid then i say probably not axanthic. But remember your not looking for grey scales.....your looking for the absence of yellow scales. ,Brian
