Respiratory infection

I was just wandering if anyone knows if repiratory infections are contagious to other reptiles if one has it.( like the common cold) Or is it mainly through poor environmental conditions.

I know if a ball python has an RI, it can pass it to others in the same room or if you handle that ball and then handle the others without disinfecting your hands... Hope this helps.

If you suspect that one of your snakes has a R.I. immediately quarantine it away from all other snakes, in a different room & have it looked @ by a vet (one that actually knows snakes!) Look out for wheezing and blowing bubbles!
