I notice you said she's gravid and should lay soon...

Has she laid in Dec beofore? That's very unusual. Eastern indigos typically breed in fall / early winter, and will ovulate and swell VERY LARGE. However...typically they do not actually lay their eggs until Feb - May.

Mine are always huge this time of year and do never EVER lay in December or Jan. Unless they bred like SUPER early (like August) my money says she's not going to lay until spring...

hey Dean thanks for the info. We have bred Indigos for several years and you are right, they usually dont lay til March. But this year they bred in Sept. So hopefully, maybe some early kids! All of our critters are breeding EARLY this year.
