Hello all, I've been looking at one particular company for a nice ball python cage, and just had two questions I thought I'd pop up here. Would "high grade 5/8 thick european plywood" be susceptible to warp? It would be exposed to high humidity, as it would house a ball and at some point a juvenile burm. As well, does plexiglass warp?

The plywood should not be susceptible to warping unless the interior is not sealed with anything. You should contact the company and find out exactly what they use to seal the cage. Just saying "polyurethane" or "epoxy" is not enough, you need to know the exact type and product.

I can try to help you more once you get that information.

Talked to the company, said they actually leave the interior unfinished, but they haven't had any warping and wouldn't worry about it unless you were going to have a mister in there or something like that. Can you shoot me your email chris? I'd like to put some more info up but don't want to put the company name up here.

I'm very skeptical of an unfinished interior. Too difficult to clean, too many places for microbrial life to flourish.

I sent an email through Kingsnake's messenger service. Let me know if you don't get it.
