-each rack holds 20-16qt lidless Sterilites (40 total)
-cost was $150 per rack or $300 total...with the bulk of cost being Sintra or expanded PVC (1/4 inch).
-Sintra is very forgiving when building a lidless rack...and minimal sagging, if any
-has wheels and is very lightweight...I could pick it up with one hand.

How is it heated...and is heat factored into that cost?

I almost forgot....I didn't add heat since I have a dedicated room in my home for my snakes. Therefore, I heat the entire room. Heat tape could probably be easily added if needed but spacers would need to be used when constructing the rack so that the tubs are not such a tight fit when sliding in/out. I suppose you could even router groves for heat tape or run it down the back if you wanted to. Expanded PVC is so easy to work with...the possibilities are endless. Apparantly it is heat formed to create fake armor for people that role play medieval times....or at least that's what I found when doing a bunch of google searches.

Ah, alright. Nice rack though...when I can better control the heat in my entire room it'll be worth keeping that design in mind.

All of my snakes seemed to perk up quite a bit once I finished a heated room for them last summer. Saves on electric too.
