possible new iguana, tons of ???

Hello,

We have 2 cats and a red ered slider, all were adopted or rescued from bad homes.

Now we got a call about an iguana, We just got the turtle setted into it's $600 habitat and now this....anyways, where would I go to find care sheets, etc?

Also, this guy is about 24" long, and he has become "shy" because he isn't getting any attaention. How aggressive would he possibly be with new owners? They said he is not aggresive now, but I'm not sure what to expect with a change. They want to give us the complete habitat whcihc is gigantic, and he has everything from what they are telling me.

So aside from needing to know everything there is about care and feeding of one of these guys, I'm also concered about their social behavior?

Thanks for your help

-Brian

i would read as much as you can before you jump into getting this igg.. get Iguanas for Dummies.. great book goes over just about everything. sometimes if an igg is not cared for properly ie. not attention the igg could get very nasty.. andd iggs can do quite a bit of damage.. between their tails and teeth. been whipped by smaller guys. but my big guy got a hold of my hand a while ago and ripped me open pretty good. but it was my fault.. i was hand feeding him and wasnt paying attention..ooopps...

I would also go and see the igg and she how it reacts to you. if the igg is violent there than bets are it will be that bad if not worse at your house..

i think i got lucky when i got mine because he was kind of nasty at the shleter i adpoted him from but now he is a big baby..

Just look into it more before you jump in.. taking care of an igg is not small task..

Good luck.. if you have any questions feel free to email me at zombie2979@aol.com or post back here..
