wow man, thats pretty darn gross! i would never try to house 2 different species together! That guy obviously didn't care about his snakes. as many times as i have seen dead herps in the pet trade, something like that still disturbs me. one time i found a escaped kingsnake eating an escaped ball python. that was pretty darn bad too. as far as building my own cage, i will just wait about 6 months and get the argentine his own plastic cages. home made cages are heavy(atleast mine). i like how boaphile's and visions neatly stack.

those were the only ones i could find at the time .. i still am having trouble locating the pictures, but someone had posted pictures of a younger (probably less than a year old) BCI who had eaten his equal size cage mate.
there is the same posibility for the argentine to eat your hog or vise versa. thats a chance i am not willing to take with my snakes. i can understand penny pinching, but to me its not worth it at all.
the home made cages i make are fairly light and very sturdy. if it wasnt an awkward size i could carry them by myself. if you are indeed close my offer still stands.
ill include a picture of my male adult BCIs cage. depending on how you plan to heat it, i could modify the plans to make it shorter (like say if you used a radient heat pannel). the cages hold my 180lb tv so they are strong.
