Mixing breeds in same cage

xblackheart Dec 14, 2005 09:15 PM

I just bought a cage of geckos from someone that "rescued" them. There is a very large tokay (male), an adult house gecko (male) and what I am pretty sure is a crocodile gecko(female) all in the same cage. They seem to get along fine. Should I keep them together?

Might work for a short while, but I believe they all have different husbandry requirements. You might want to do a care sheet search on each of them to be sure.

The tokay might become an aggressor; a large planted vivarium that has microhabitats that suite each species would be the ideal way to keep them together... or just seperate them.
