a few basic questions

raisnok Dec 14, 2005 11:47 PM

ok my first thing, i was looking at devi tonight, she was fed live mice in the pet shop, and so far i have tried to feed her once since she has been here, i got her on the 5th, they said she had eaten on that saturday, so this past sat i tried and she refused, i figured it was really to soon....
anyway, i noticed she looks to have "bite" marks and several places where there are scales missing, they all look healed, will the scales possibly grow back?
also the snake had been power fed, shes a 04 snake and "fat" should i worry on that part?

The missing scales should grow back.

As for whether it's been powerfed or not, can't really tell without seeing it and knowing its feeding history. How often was it fed and how many mice each time? If it will eat for you, you should have nothing to worry about at this point. That is, assuming all else is well and parasite free. Good luck!

I don't think an '04 animal feeding on 3-4 mice per week as being powerfed. Then again, that would also depend on the overall size of the bp. I have an '04 female hypo that would not eat rats and I would have to feed her 3-4 mice per week and she's not even close to being powerfed.
