Here's a shot of a lizard I found on the beach in Cozumel that was not lounging next to a bucket of corona. I am guessing that it is some sort of spiny lizard or tree lizard. Anyone have a positive ID?

The only spiny lizard that occurs on Cozumel is the Cozumel Spiny Lizard (Sceloporus cozumelae).

Thanks, Chris. Is the Cozumel Spiney Lizard limited only to the island, or does have a range on the mainland as well?
It occurs on the mainland in QR just along the coast.
