South African Nile Crocodiles

Nice animal. Where is your exhibit? Where did you acquire him from?

Is he young? From the pics it appears his tail is a little light, or is it the angle?

He came from a croc farm in S. Africa. Had been a breeder there for about the past 15-20 years. I do think he was wild collected as a young adult, so I estimate he is around 40years old.

He will be on exhibit at the Dallas Zoo, along with 2 females. The females are about 10ft, one is 350lb and the other 450lb (she is a fat animal that needs to drop some weight).

I'll post pix of the exhibit once it is done. Should open in April.
