Ok so what size rubbermaid for a BCI?

Cl0wn Dec 16, 2005 12:45 AM

Sorry this question probably gets asked to much around here but I wanted to know what size rubbermaid (if any) would best fit a BCI? I've never had one but im considering purchasing a male soon. I already have had pythons and a few rosy boas but never a BCI. I was thinking 55 qaurt rubbermaid? But how long would a male last in that? I'm guessing not very long. What size if any is the best for these snakes rubbermaid and aqaurium wise? I could get an aqaurium but they arent durable like rubbermaids and to big and clumsy. Oh yeah and is a BCI the same thing as a columbian boa? Thankyou for reading.

Yes colombian and hogs are both bci.
As far as a cage you will need a 4 ft long container. The best is to purchase a boaphile or a vision. I agree with you a glass aquarium is to heavy and is not that great.

Thats a lot man. I'll go check out some vision cages right now. I really want a male BCI because I was told they are one of the best boas. But if caging is to much I might go with a bull or gopher snake since they get big too. Anyway thanx.
