Do those condos replace their regular cages, or just a means of letting them "get out of the house once in a while", so to speak?

Beautiful chams, at any rate!

No, they don't replace their cages, but when i am in my room i like to put one of them on the condo. Thank you

Hey,

I believe that people do use them to replace their cages. As long as you hang it in a place where the chameleon can't climb off of it, he will stay, in theory. I have never had one. But there is no way to feed them other than attaching a cup to the side of it and cup training him, or hand feeding him. Either way, I see no reason it is beter than a cage. He does not have the room to explore like a free ranging enclosure, but u still have to wory about him getting away! However they are cool if ya just wanna put a cham on it to hang out while you are around.

Yes,I have also heard/read where people use the condos as "cages". I've never had one either, but it's a great idea if crotalidking just wants to use his for the occasional hang-out session. I don't trust my chams enough to stay put very long!

the main reason that i wouldn't make it permanent is that feeding would be a pain
