hello im trying to think if i should get a gtp or r they to mean to handle and r just for display i cant decide between that or a hognose
thanx

Comparing a GTP to a hognose is like comparing apples and oranges. Certainly the hognose is easier to care for, requiring less exact husbandry. GTP's tend to be display animals rather than one's you handle a lot, but I do take out my yearling quite a bit as she is VERY tame and doesn't seemed to be stressed by being out. Babies should not be handled much due to their delicate spines, and many GT's are quite nippy, especially after dark when they start hunting. If you want a nice first snake to have that is easy to handle and take care of, you'd be better off with the hognose, or even better a cornsnake or kingsnake. They are definitely more adapted to being held all the time.
