Hello all. I found a place that has a CB Black Tail for $250. It is a year old, 3' long and is captive born. Does this sound like a good price?

Imports come in from $55 to $150 depending on health, color and size. Captive hatched is the way to go they range from $175 to $250. There is always the deal but sometimes it is a waiting game.

Regarding the blacktail for $250. Price is on the high end, but if it is a nice one and captive bred it may be well worth it. Having said that, I wonder why a 3 year old is only 3' length, you may want to verify that it feeds agressively and has no complications. 3' seems small to me for an animal this age...what say the brethren?

OOps! My apology, I misread, I note it is a year old and 3', that sounds normal to me. sheeesh....
