Just some color change in B.c.longicauda...

lateralis Dec 16, 2005 05:33 PM

I picked this pair up earlier this year as yearlings, the male is the lighter of the two and qetting quite a nice gold and black coloration. His face mask is starting to fill in now.

The female is the darker of the two with a beautiful brick hue to the black that is filling in as well.
They appear to develop quite differently than other boa ssp. .

I have a pair of Bci that are only a month or so older than these guys and they have tripled in size compared to the longicauda.

Beautiful snakes, and my favourite Boa.

I have a yearling who is really beginning to colour up (balck and gold) and a baby Anery pair who are already black and silver ... can't wait to see them grow.
