Any ideas on how to cool an attic?

cee4 Dec 16, 2005 06:15 PM

If I can figure out how to keep it cooler in summer Im going to make it my reptile hideout...It gets really hot in summer, like in the 90/100s and has one small window on a slanted wall.I dont think I can use the window for an AC unit, is there another way?

Insulation and an air conditioner. I think that is about the only way.

You should also consider that it is safer to keep herps in a cooler room and heat them, than to keep them in an area that gets too hot where you have to cool it. Why? Because if the power goes out, your snakes overheat.

Some of us have no choice, but if you have a choice, stay in the cooler room and avoid the attic.
