My little Buttermilk (celestial) racer got out a few days ago, and I searched in every spot I thought he might be. Just yesterday night the cat pointed him out to me by mewing and nosing at him.
I don't know how, but the left side of his head, right behind his eye, is slightly crushed, as if something slightly heavy pushed him against the floor, but not to the point where it's bloody and gory.
I thought he would die last night, because he wasn't moving, but he didn't. Other than the head injury there is nothing wrong with him
He tries to slither upside down, or when he's slithering normally he moves his head around to touch the left side of his body.
I think he's got brain damage, and I dont' know if he'll be able to eat or not. Does anyone know what I can do for him to help him??
Other than the head damage he's fine, but he's a little skinny and needs some food. I'm really hoping I can pull him through, because he is a really nice snake.
Any help or ideas is greatly welcome. We haven't the money to take him to a herp vet, even if we had one close, and I'm afraid to tell mom, because she may decide that we should just kill him or something.
If I can't do anything for him, what is the best way to put them form their misery??
HOping like crazy!!!!!!
